SPECIAL NOTICE : (a) On-Line Applications will be accepted only when prescribed fee is deposited in the Bank upto prescribed last date for fee payment. If the fee is deposited in Bank after the last date prescribed for fee payment, the on-line application of the candidate will not be accepted and the fee deposited in the Bank will not be refunded in any condition. It will be responsibility of the candidates to deposit fee in the Bank upto the last date prescribed for fee payment and to ‘submit’ the application upto the last date prescribed for submission of applications. It is also informed that any amount deposited in the form of examination fee shall not be refunded in any condition.

(b) In Online Application System, the candidates have to provide their Mobile No. and valid e-mail ID in prescribed column failing which their Basic Registration shall not be completed. All relevant informations/ instructions shall be sent through SMS on that mobile number and e-mail on their e-mail ID. This is also directed to the candidates to check the Commission’s website continuously for further any updates.

Application Fee: In the ON-LINE Application process, after completing the procedure of first stage, Category wise prescribed examination fee is to be deposited as per instructions provided in second stage.

Paper No. 4- Law-I (Substantive Law) :-

This paper will be of 200 marks. 

The question set will be restricted to the field covered by:- The law of contracts, the law of Partnership, the law concerning easements and torts, the Law relating to transfer of property including the principles of equity, specifically applicable thereto, the principal of Equity with special reference to the Law of trust and specific relief, Hindu Law and Mohammedan Law, and Constitutional Law. There shall be questions of 50 marks in relation to Constitutional Law alone.

Paper No. 5- Law-II (Procedure and Evidence) :-

This paper will be of 200 marks.

Questions set will be restricted to the field covered by-the law of evidence, the Criminal Procedure Code and Code of Civil Procedure, including the principles of pleading. The question set will relate mainly to practical matters such as the framing of charges and issues the methods of dealing with the evidence of witnesses the writing of judgment and the conduct of cases generally but will not be restricted to them. 

Paper No. 6- Law-III (Penal, Revenue and Local Laws) :-

This paper will be of 200 marks.

Questions set will be restricted to the field covered by-Indian Penal Code, Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code, 2006, Uttar Pradesh. Urban Building (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, the Uttar Pradesh Regulation of Urban Premises Tenancy Act, 2021, Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, U.P. Consolidation of Holding Act, 1953, Uttar Pradesh Urban (Planning and Development) Act 1973, together with rules framed under the aforesaid Acts.

Answer to the questions of Local Laws will be compulsory. Questions pertaining to Penal Laws will be of 50 marks, whereas, that of Revenue and Local Laws will be of 150 marks.

Interview: The interview will be of 100 marks. The suitability of candidates for employment in the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service will be tested with reference to his merit giving due regard to his ability character, personality and physique.

Clarification: The candidates will have a choice to answer General Knowledge and Law papers either in Hindi or in English.

Note: (i) The marks obtained in the interview will be added to the Marks obtained in the written papers and the candidates place will depend on the aggregate of both (ii) The Commission reserves the right to refuse to call for Interview any candidate who has not obtained such marks in the Law Papers as to justify such refusal.

Applications are invited for empanelment of qualified persons as Advocates in DCPCR for a period of one year. The essential qualifications are as follows:

  1. Must be a qualified Advocate.
  2. Must have at least three years’ experience as an Advocate.
  • Must be residing in Delhi/NCR. Broad functions of the empanelled Advocates shall be as follows:
  1. Provide legal opinion on matters referred to them by the Commission within the stipulated time-period;
  2. Argue in Courts in matters referred to them by the Commission;
  1. Prepare/Assist in preparation of the background documents, affidavits, rejoinders, implements, as referred by the Commission
  2. Assist in drafting orders/advisories/summons in matters as may be referred by the Commission;
  3. Undertake/assist in conducting inquiries in matters as may be referred by the Commission.
  4. Or any other function as may be assigned by the Commission.

Please note that the Commission reserves the right to allocate any or no matter to any advocate. Selected candidates shall be empanelled for a period of one year which shall be renewable on year to year basis subject to performance and the need.

Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Participating Banks listed at (A) as one of the Specialist Officers’ post, is required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP SPL-XII). The examination will be two tier i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, Online Preliminary and Online Main. Candidates who will qualify in Online Preliminary Examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Online Main Examination and shortlisted candidates in the Online Main examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be conducted by the Participating Banks and co-ordinated by the Nodal Bank. Depending on the final vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2023-24 based on the business needs of the Participating Banks and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Banks keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, administrative convenience, etc. The validity for CRP SPL-XII will automatically expire at the close of business on 31.03.2024 with or without giving any notice. Indicative category-wise vacancies of each of the Participating Banks for each post are given vide Annexure I. Recruitment in Participating Banks is a dynamic process which depends upon restriction imposed, business volume, business growth, health of the banks, branch expansion, internal and external factors, structural changes etc. Vacancies mentioned here are indicative and anticipated as communicated by the Participating Banks. However, Provisional allotment will be made based on the actual vacancies reported by the Participating Banks. This system of Common Recruitment Process Online Preliminary and Online Main Examination, Common Interview and provisional allotment for recruitment of Specialist Officers posts in Participating Banks has the approval of the appropriate authorities. IBPS, an autonomous body, has received a mandate from the Banks mentioned at (A) below, to conduct the recruitment process as mentioned above, once a year. IBPS will make arrangements for conducting online preliminary examination, declare result of Online Preliminary Examination, inform the shortlisted candidates about the online main examination, declare the results of the Online Main Examination and inform the shortlisted candidates about the interview. Interviews will be conducted by the Participating Banks and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each state/ UT. New 16 vacancies for the posts of District Judge in the High Court of Karnataka.

New Delhi: – Online applications are invited in the prescribed form from eligible candidates for 16 vacancies for the posts of District Judge, in the Judicial Service of the High Court of Karnataka.

It is hereby notified that under Article 233 of the Constitution of India read with the provisions of the Karnataka Judicial Service (Recruitment) Rules, 2004 and Amendment Rules 2011, 2015, and 2016, the High Court of Karnataka invites online applications from eligible candidates for filling up of 16 vacant posts of District Judges (14 backlog and 2 new vacancies) by direct recruitment.

QUALIFICATION:

  1. Must be the holder of a degree in Law granted by a University established by Law in India;
  2. Must be practicing as an Advocate in the High Court or a Subordinate Court on the last date fixed for receipt of applications and must have so practiced for a period not less than SEVEN years as on such date.

Note: Public Prosecutor/Assistant Public Prosecutor/Government Counsel in full-time employment of the State having not less than seven years of continuous practice immediately preceding the last date fixed for receipt of online applications are also eligible for appointment.

AGE LIMIT: Must not have attained the age of Forty-Eight years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes and ¨sauna– 5 Part – V, 20 2022( 29 1944) BENGALURU, TUESDAY, 20, SEPTEMBER, 2022(BHADRAPADA, 29, SHAKAVARSHA, 1944). 468No. 468 2 Forty-Five years in the case of others, as on the last date fixed for receipt of online applications.

PROBATION: A candidate selected will be initially on probation for TWO years or an extended period, if necessary and he/she must undergo such training as may be specified by the High Court

COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION:

  1. the Competitive Examination for recruitment of District Judges shall consist of 3 stages namely

(a) Preliminary Examination

(b) Main Examination and

(c) Viva voice:-

(a) PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION: The Preliminary Examination shall be conducted by way of an Objective Type Question Paper with multiple choices of 1½ hours (Ninety minutes) duration consisting of 100 marks. The syllabi for the said examination shall be the following, namely:-

3 Part-A – Civil Law.

Part-B – Criminal Law.

Part-C – General Knowledge (Test of reasoning and mental aptitude)

(b) MAIN EXAMINATION: The Competitive Written Examination for recruitment of District Judges shall consist of:

(i) Written examination of two papers each of three hours duration with 150 maximum marks for each piece – one in Civil Law and another in Criminal Law.

(ii) all candidates must answer at least one of the papers in the English language and in so far as the other paper is concerned, it shall be optional for the candidates to answer the same either in English or in Kannada in which event the said paper shall be answered entirely in the language in which option is exercised.

(c) VIVA-VOCE:

(i) The viva-voce shall carry a maximum of 50 marks.

(ii) The candidate’s General knowledge, grasp of principles of law, and suitability for appointment as District Judge shall be tested.

(1) Minimum marks for pass in the Preliminary Examination shall be 50 for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and 60 for others.

(2) The minimum marks for pass in each paper of the written examination carrying 150 marks, shall be 50 marks in each paper for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and 60 marks for others. However, the total marks to be secured for a pass in the written examination shall be 120 marks out of 300 for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and 150 marks out of 300 for others. To be considered under General Category, a candidate belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe has to secure the minimum marks prescribed for the General category in the Preliminary Examination, Main Written Examination, and Viva-voce.

(3) From among the candidates who are eligible for Viva-voce as per clause

(2), as far as may be, such number of candidates as is equal to three times the number of vacancies notified, having regard to the number of vacancies in each reserved category, selected in the order of merit, shall be called for Viva voce.

(4) Candidate belonging to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe who obtains a minimum of forty percent and a candidate not belonging to a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, who obtains a minimum mark of fifty percent in the viva-voce shall be eligible to be considered for selection to the posts. 4

(5) Selection of candidates shall be made in the order of merit based on an aggregate of the marks obtained in the Written Examination and Viva-voce test, subject to the Government Orders relating to reservation of posts for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other backward classes. Provided that no candidate has secured less than the minimum marks specified above:

(i) Any paper of the Written Examination shall be eligible for Viva-Voce.

(ii) Any paper of the Written Examination or viva-voce shall be eligible for appointment as District Judge.

DISQUALIFICATION FOR APPOINTMENT:

No person shall be eligible for an appointment to the service –

(a) Unless he/she is a citizen of India;

(b) If he/she is compulsorily retired, removed, or dismissed from judicial service or service in Government or Statutory or Local Authority or if a candidate after being selected as a Judicial Officer has been discharged from service during the probationary period.

(c) if he/she has been convicted of an offense involving moral turpitude or who is or has been permanently debarred or disqualified by the High Court or the Union Public Service Commission or any State Public Service Commission from appearing for examinations or selections conducted by it or has been removed from its roll by any Bar Council;

(d) If any penalty or punishment has been imposed by the Bar Council or any Disciplinary Authority which in the opinion of Selecting Authority, makes the applicant unsuitable for a judicial post;

(e) If he/she directly or indirectly influence the Recruiting Authority by any means for his/her candidature;

Qualification

Qualifying Degree: Qualification obtained as Full-time Regular course from Institutions/ Colleges/ Universities/ Deemed Universities duly recognized by AICTE/UGC in anyone of the following:

a. Graduate Degree in any discipline AND Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) OR

b. 5 years Integrated LLB Degree

2. Minimum Percentage of Marks: Candidates should have secured the following minimum percentage of marks in Graduation and LLB as below:

Calculation of percentage of marks in the qualifying degree would be governed by institute/university rules. Rounding off of percentage is not allowed.

3. The LLB degree should also enjoy recognition from the Bar Council of India.

4. Wherever final marks in the qualifying degree have been awarded as letter grade (CGPA/GPI/SGPA etc), equivalent percentage of marks shall be calculated as per conversion formula issued by respective institute/university for establishing eligibility criteria. Such candidates would be required to submit the conversion certificate issued by the concerned institute/university at the time of Personal Interview, if shortlisted.

5. However, in case the institute does not follow any conversion formula for converting CGPA to Percentage, the candidate will have to submit a certificate to this effect duly issued by concerned institute/university at the time of Personal Interview, if shortlisted. In such cases, IOCL shall be at liberty to arrive at equivalent percentage of marks following its own conversion formula.

a. Marksheets and Passing Certificate of class 10 and onwards

b. Certificate(s) evidencing award of degree along with marksheets of all semesters/years for aforesaid qualifying degrees (as applicable)

News Delhi :- Mumbai Port Authority invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for following trainees to work on contract basis in Legal Division :

Stipend per month ( Rs.25000 / – per month initially *
In case of non – availability of candidates belonging to reserved categories , the posts will be filled by General candidates .

Eligibility criteria :

  • Educational qualifications : Full time degree in Law ( 3 year course or 5 – year course ) ( Final year law students awaiting for results are also eligible to apply , but they will be engaged only after producing their pass certificate . )
  • Age Limit : 21 years 30 years Upper age is relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST applicants and 3 years for OBC applicants .
  • The crucial date for determining eligibility criteria viz . , educational qualification , age etc. shall be as on 1.7.2022 .
  • Only eligible applicants who fulfill the criteria of essential qualification , age , etc. prescribed for respective position shall apply .

Role and responsibilities for the above position :

    Any other work entrusted to them from time to time .
  • Period of contractual engagement : The contract will be for a period of one year which is extendable by one more year at a time at the discretion of the Port .
